Looking at Ideal Accommodation in Cape Town? A Cape Town bed and
breakfast is the ideal... but how? What should you look for?
As advice to tourists and sojourners I will attempt to prescribe some basics in
choosing the best accommodation in Cape
Town. This page will deal with the finer
salient points of selecting an accommodation type, the location and the
necessary extras as pertaining to Cape Town, South Africa. It is necessary to
note that these are my thoughts only.
Let's begin, the best accommodation type must be chosen first - will this be a
hotel, a bed and breakfast, an inn, a guest house or a five star hotel?
First point has to be the accommodation budget you have. I will attempt to
compare bed and breakfast accommodation against other types.
Most visitors searching for accommodation on the world wide web will no doubt
not be extremely wealthy neither candidly poor. Accommodation sorts are taylor
made to location, locale and type of service offered. A bed and breakfast
establishment say in Cape Town or Bloubergstrand can be aimed at First Class,
Second Class or even Third Class visitors. It should be noted that the
accommodation type - namely bed and breakfast could be thought of being aimed at
the mid-range market - where backpacker hostels and cheaper hotels take the
brunt of the economy budget traveler who seeks accommodation in Cape Town and
five star hotels lure the wealthiest of tourists. It can be said that bed and
breakfasts and guest houses are in-between as stated - mid range. However this
is not enough.
The Location is important when choosing a Cape Town bed and breakfast. There are
sites which are more popular in Cape Town and those which are less so. This
varies on the position of attractions, relative safety of the region and the
availability of transport. A more upmarket region like Bishop's Court or Camps
Bay or Bloubergstrand will do well on all 3 hits. A bed and breakfast located in
one of those parts of Cape Town will have a wealth of nearby attractions,
definite safety and easy access to transportation - or good road infrastructure
and central location if looking at Car rental tourists.
Good - nay decent - nay Fantastic Locations around Cape Town - One prime
location like that is Bloubergstrand. A bed and breakfast, located in Cape Town,
Bloubergstrand is not only located in a safe area, however also near or right on
top of beautiful scenery and right against the most beautiful beach in Cape
Town. It is also centrally located for easy access from the said bed and
breakfast to just about any point of note in Cape Town.
Not all bed and breakfasts are created equal. It should be said that there are differences in what is offered and those can be spotted often enough from the price. However many a time if one is astute enough, one can spot a very inexpensive bed and breakfast in a really attractive location of Cape Town which also offers luxury settings and a stone throw's distance from fabulous attractions. After all when visiting a bed and breakfast we come in purpose of exploring Cape Town. Nothing can be easier when your bed and breakfast is in luxury settings, on the sea-side and extremely safe to boot. Such a bed and breakfast would definitely feature well on any itinerary.
| What to look for in a Cape Town bed and breakfast? Well ... 1. Safety and Tranquility. 2. Sea Views or Sea proximity. 3. Luxury. 4. Ease of access to attractions and routes. 5. Friendly hosts. 6. Price |

Bloubergstrand is truly as I've said above, the ideal location for a bed and
breakfast or a guest house. A bed and breakfast in Bloubergstrand will prove to
promote a all 5 properties above... especially the first - SAFETY. Likewise
tranquility is important too. Awake to the sounds of African birds and rolling
waves muffled by the soft summer breeze. You won't hear car engines here, my
dear friend.
Bloubergstrand is a very ultra safe part of Cape Town. It is
also sea side. A bed and breakfast accommodation establishment there will be
right next to the sea or at least within a few minutes walk. Bloubergstrand is
also full of quaint scenic restaurants where you may savor Cape cuisine while
staring out at the deep blue Cape Atlantic.
Luxury - This goes without saying - establishments in Bloubergstrand are
luxurious. They are all fine. No denial of that.
Ease of access - well with R27 on your doorstep and ease of access to N1 and N7
- you can't go wrong. Leaving the bed and breakfast you can travel for only a
short while and you'll be in Wine Country (Wine Route). Going the other way will
take you to False Bay or Hout Bay. A little before that is the City Bowl and the
Waterfront.
To know people is to be friendly to them. A good bed and breakfast host will
welcome you at 3 AM and will offer friendly advice on all matters partaining to
Cape Town. This is no problem.
I left out one item - Number 6 - price. Why pay more than you can have all 5 points above - with our bed and breakfast accommodation. I urge you to try our site and explore it. Our rates are extremely fair and competitive beyond reason when comparing to others.
